Cincoro v. Clase Azul v. 1942 Expensive Tequila Challenge

Cincoro v. Clase Azul v. 1942 Expensive Tequila Challenge

It's the tall expensive bottle challenge. Can you see over the box, Maddie? No. Hardly. I had, I got a step stool. Jesus. Speaking of tall bottles, look how tall Maddie is. Fruity, I think it smells really sweet. Strawberries with sugar on it. Uhhuh. Yeah.   View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jay Baer (@tequilajaybaer)   Oh wow. That's a lot of additives. That's milk chocolate right there. No thanks. Hard pass. Why are so many of these tequilas in tall bottles? Because if they're in a tall bottle, the retailer or the restaurant or the bar has to put them on the top shelf. Okay, less crazy. Yeah. This one's more just like dessert.Yeah. Still a little sweet, but you get some barrel character on that. For me, way different than this one. I agree. This one is a little smoother too, I think, than that one. Drinkable, for sure. Uhhuh. Yeah. Don't love it. But definitely I wouldn't be angry about that. This makes me mad. Woah smell this again.S'mores. Uhhuh. This is legit s'mores like all the different s'mores flavors or smells. Yeah. It's very, very sweet. This is like a burned marshmallow. That one's, I mean, it's really smooth. It's very. Very drinkable. Very drinkable, very, I'm sure they all have additives, but very, very sweet. I understand why people. Of course it's like. It's so easy to. It's so tasty.Yeah. Doesn't taste like tequila. Wouldn't buy any of these. Which is your least favorite? My least favorite is this one. Me too. This one is my least favorite. Most favorite. What would you say? I was going to say, I think this one's probably my most favorite. But it's kind of a tie. This one is my favorite, just because it's got more barrel character.Okay, we're going to go here. The middle one is the winner. Narrowly, what is it? We have no idea what these are. 1942 is the winner. Looks like Clase Azul was second place. And in third place Cincoro. There you go. Careful those tall bottles friends.

Are these the best tequila popsicles ever? Might be. Inspiro did a collab with FrutaPOP. I love it. Yeyo Tequila Reposado Single Barrel

Yeyo Tequila Reposado Single Barrel

This tequila was aged in rum barrels. Is this pirate juice plunder or a blunder? This is Yéyo Reposado, single barrel.Yéyo, one of our favorite Blancos, they took the Blanco, made at NOM 1414. Put it in barrels that had previously held Colombian rum.    View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jay Baer (@tequilajaybaer) 12 single barrels, I believe, from this one's from Keg N Bottle and our friend Rob Gerard from the Tequila Collective. This is like 80, something like that. It smells tropical. I feel like I'm on a beach. Fruity. I feel like it smells a little bit like banana right here, actually. Additive free of course on this tequilas. Well also, this is aged 11 months, so pretty, pretty long for Reposado.Juicy Fruit gum, fruit striped gum. Yeah, I'd really dig it. I kind of want to...ooh. Ooh. I love the way that finishes. That's tasty. You get a little coconut on this, don't you?Uhhuh coconut. Yeah.I for sure taste banana. Like a little bit of banana. Absolutely. Maybe like a little bit of a tropical fruit, like a papaya maybe, or something like that. Instead of rum. Mix some of this in with your piña coladas.Abs... oh my God. Now you're.. They're doing another batch of this at the end of the year, early next year. Doing 29 barrels next time. So there'll be more of this available. You can still get this specific one at Keg N Bottle online. Go to my bio and we'll have a link to it. If you want to buy it. I would definitely buy this one.I'm a fan. I go 9. I Love a 9. I know I've been very often. I like it. I like it a lot. Well, it's so different, right. And I like to reward people doing something different. Yeah. All right. I liked it. I'm going to give it a 7, maybe 7 1/2. It's like growing on me a little bit each time I drink it, but it's pretty tasty. Good work.

6 Alternatives to Casamigos

6 Alternatives to Casamigos

Hey, it's Tequila Jay Baer, I'm at Big Red Liquors in Bloomington, Indiana. And a lot of people come into a store like this and they just sort of reflexively reach for the Casamigos, one of the most popular tequilas in the US, $55. But here are six better options for the same price or less, right here in the same store.   View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jay Baer (@tequilajaybaer) First thing I would look for is the really terrific El Tesoro Blanco, $45 that is a great price. Second thing I would go for is down here a little bit more expensive, $55 for the Siete Leguas, one of my favorite Blancos in the world. Also for $5 less than Casamigos, you can get yourself a bottle of Tequila Ocho Plata, this is the 2022. Right below that, same price as Casamigos, Mijenta for $54.99. And then, if you absolutely feel compelled that you must have a celebrity tequila, here's George Strait Codigo 1530, $5 less in Casamigos at $49.99 and a better tequila. And then our friend Sammy Hagar and Guy Fieri, their Tequila, Santo, right here, $54.99 for the Santo. All six of those are, in my estimation, better than Casamigos, for the same price or less. Be a smart shopper. I'm Tequila Jay Bear.

LaGrimas del Valle Review

LaGrimas del Valle Review

A new high proof blanco that demands your attention. LaGrimas del Valle. Each edition of this tequila is made from the agave from a single rancho, so it's not just like agave from wherever. It's like this is from this field, this place at this time. So it's much more like a wine-based terroir style which I think is brilliant.   View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jay Baer (@tequilajaybaer)   When they make the next edition of this it will taste different and that's on purpose, not on accident. Additive free. 46%. So it's definitely up there a little bit.Yeah. And we'll see how that goes for you. All right. I'm a little concerned, Maddie, for you. Oh yeah. Yeah. Very heavy forward. You get some of that quintessential kind of white pepper, black pepper character as well. Uhhuh all the things from the earth, huh? That's the stuff... you definitely know, you can tell that it's over proofed. Yeah. And it definitely has a little more fire to it than a regular 40% ABV tequila. But it's not overwhelming, certainly. No, no, I agree. I feel like it goes pretty smooth in the beginning and then it gets a little bit hot. Not, not horrible. No, I really like it. Especially for those people who like High Proof Blanco, this is a nice choice. It doesn't quite have as much nuance as maybe a couple of other ones what I've had. But this price is really good too. I think they're asking $60 for this. That's a very fair deal, I would say.I mean the smell, I don't know. It's not like my favorite thing ever, but it's not horrible. I'm going to give it a 6 I think, could maybe go 7. I'm not as into the higher proof, I think. I mean, yeah, I mean just Blancos not all for you, is at necessarily your jam. So to go High Proof Blanco was like... Yeah.I would give this an 8.5, but we don't have an 8.5 score, so I'm going to give this a 9 medallion, but it's probably an 8.5 for me. It's a great effort, especially first time out.
